Mealsharing - Acquired startup

In 2012 a friend and I started a shared economy website that enabled people to eat at people's homes all over the world. It was a wild ride that got us into press and media in countries from the US to Germany, Japan, Brazil... We had hosts in more than 200 countries and we got to meet amazing people. I was on TV in Germany and Spain, which was a lot of fun. The company was acquired early in 2020.

Sessions in the UN, speeches at British parliament and still, our craziest moment was probably being parodied by Jimmy Kimmel (the quality of the video is bad, I apologize).

The show is making fun of an initiative that we ran during Thanksgiving day, because nobody should spend Thanksgiving alone. This article by the Los Angeles Times, and this one by Food & Wine Magazine go into some detail
